Understanding Payment Authorisation Holds
When shopping with buymie, we may place a temporary authorisation hold on your bank account for a slightly higher amount than your estimated order total.
An authorisation hold will appear on your bank account as a pending payment and will ensure the funds needed for completing your order are available to us when we deliver your goods.
Duration of the Payment Authorisation Hold
We collect the required funds from the authorisation hold 12 hours after your order is delivered. However, depending on your bank, it can take anywhere from 0-5 business days for the pending charge to be updated to the final grocery cost listed on your receipt.
If you cancel your order, we'll submit a request to your bank asking them to release the pending charge immediately. However, depending on your bank, it can take anywhere from 0-5 business days for them to process this.
Changes to the Final Transaction Amount
We will only charge you for the total of the items delivered plus our fees. A second transaction will be automatically applied to the same card when the cost of the items delivered plus our fees are of a higher value than the authorisation hold.
