What happens if an item I ordered is not delivered?
While we understand that shopper mistakes can happen, we do our best to reduce the chance that this affects your bank account!
You're only ever charged for the items that your personal shopper purchases in-store. We manage this by requiring your shopper to upload a picture of the in-store receipt and double-verify the total grocery value listed on it in their buymie shopper app.
The total grocery cost is then used to calculate your total order cost, including fees.
Typically when a missing item is showing as purchased on your buymie receipt, the shopper has not purchased the item in-store and has forgotten to update the item status as removed.
Our system will automatically release any remaining funds from the pre-authorisation we placed on your bank account twelve hours after your order has been delivered. As this item wouldn't have been included in your total grocery cost, you will not be charged for it.
However, if you're uncertain and would like our team to investigate, open a chat with us in-app or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our team will be happy to review the order and ensure everything is correct.
