The interface remains more or less the same as the project but the information is different.

(I) The works.
Description and terms
The description and terms section includes all conditions relating to the contract. Among other things, it allows you to protect yourself by specifying inclusions and exclusions.
(A) Specify the terms and conditions of the contract, it is possible to make them appear for all quotes in the quote preferences.
(B) Enter the quote description or introduction.
(C) Enter the title.
(D) Modify terms and conditions.
Work
The Work section lets you add detailed descriptions. You must have a description (new section or QuickWorks) to be able to add either labor, materials, suppliers or subcontractors, or an assembly.
(A) Press + for a new section.
(B) Click on QuickWorks to select one.
New section
In each section, you can enter the text of your choice. It is possible to add several sections to form a submission. Each section is calculated separately.
(A) Enter text in section.
(B) Save the text.
You can then add the information to calculate the quote.
(C) To add costs to the section (labor, materials, suppliers or subcontractor or assembly).
(D) Add a checklist that will appear on the work order if desired.
(E) Press + or QuickWorks for a new section.
QuickWorks
Submission templates can be saved in the QuickWorks general preferences.
Adding a QuickWorks allows you to predefine the text according to the job and to add materials related to the job.
(A) Click on QuickWorks to bring up a list of the last 10.
(B) Search by keywords.
(C) Select the template to be added by clicking on it.
Once the template has been selected, the text for that template appears, along with materials, typical labor and related suppliers.
(A) Modify the information relevant to this project by clicking on the QuickWorks.
(B) Modify text as required when the formatting box appears.
(C) Save to return and add materials, labor and subcontractors or suppliers.
Estimate
To add costs to the quote, you can do so manually by adding materials, labor and suppliers or subcontractors. Assemblies can also be used.
(A) Press the material line to change the quantity.
Labor time
Labor time can be entered directly in the Work section. The calculation is based on the rate applied to the chosen trade.
(A) Click on the clock to add labor costs to this section of the quote.
(B) Pre-set rates in General Preferences if not already set.
(C) Include a description to differentiate several sections.
(D) Indicate the number of hours required for each rate.
(E) Modify cost and selling prices, if available.
Materials
To add material costs to this section of the quote.
(A) Press the small cube.
(B) Select a material from the list of materials. Integrate directly into quotation if you have access, otherwise materials must be added in Material Preferences.
(C) Add a description.
(D) Determine quantity required.
(E) Modify the cost and selling price in this section only, if you have access.
(F) Change price if necessary. If the quotation is dated and you know that the prices have been modified in the master list. You can click here and the price will be changed in this section of the quote. Please note that the price will be modified for this quote only.
Suppliers or subcontractors
You can also add suppliers or subcontractors to determine to whom to send purchase orders.
(B) Enter a description or detail concerning the addition of this supplier.
(C) Select a supplier or subcontractor.
(D) Create a new supplier or subcontractor directly in the interface, if you have access.
(E) Enter the cost and selling price.
(F) Press Yes, if you want a purchase order to be created when the quote is marked as Won.
Assemblies
It is possible to add an assembly in the Works section.
(A) Press the three small cubes to select which assembly to use from the list.
To use assemblies, they must be created in advance in the Assembly Preferences. Assemblies are used to predefine calculations for a particular type of work. Assemblies can be set up according to your needs.
(B) Click on the one to be applied, e.g. General - Paint
Next, the questions predefined in the preferences appear. Fill in all the information to get the result.
When all the information is complete, the result is displayed. Click on save to add it to the quote.
Multiple assemblies can be applied to a QuickWorks or in the Works section.
Price adjustment
Once all QuickWorks have been completed, you can adjust the final price of the quotation.
(A) Press Change price; several options are available.
(A) Force a total; allows you to adjust the amount before tax.
(B) Force a margin; allows you to apply the desired margin percentage.
(C) Force a total with all taxex included; allows you to modify the amount with tax.
(D) Enter adjustment amount (Montant d'ajustement); allows you to enter an adjustment amount.
Example of forced margin
(A) Total amount of adjustment to achieve 25% gross margin.
(B) Gross margin forced to 25%.
