Does my Windows PC/Laptop need to be powered on at all times?

In order for your cameras to record continuously, your PC/Laptop running Cammy Hub will need to remain powered on and at the property with your cameras at all times. The "Power and Sleep" settings within your PC settings need to be switched to "Never" to prevent your machine from turning off and your cameras losing connection.

❓ Is there a contract period for Cammy Hub?

There is a minimum 3 month contract period for Cammy Hub. Beyond the initial 3 month period, payments are on a month-to-month basis however, we do request that you contact us at least 5 days before your next bill is due if you wish to cancel, in order to avoid being charged for the next month.

❓ Do you have to run the Cammy Console on a Windows PC or Laptop for the Mobile App to work or can I just use the Mobile App?

In order for the mobile app to work, the Cammy Hub will need to be installed on a Windows 10 PC/Laptop. Please see our ↗ Minimum Requirements for Cammy Hub to work.

❓ Can I use Cammy Hub to monitor two locations?

Cammy Hub can be used in multiple locations, however, please know that you will need a Windows 10 PC or laptop that remains powered on and at each premise where your cameras are located.

❓ Can I monitor Cammy remotely?

The Cammy Mobile app allows you to check in on your cameras from wherever you are in the world, providing you have either a 4G/5G or Wi-Fi connection.

❓ What happens if my PC/Laptop turns off. Will I still be able to see any recordings?

In the event of your PC/Laptop turning off, the cameras will continue to record snapshots to the cloud to ensure your premise remains protected. Further to this, you can set up to receive notifications if there are any changes in your hub status so you know you need to look into why the Laptop/PC has turned off.

❓How do I ensure my Windows PC is running the latest version of Windows?

  1. Head to your PC Settings

  2. Find "Windows Updates" within your PC Settings (You can also find this by typing "Updates" into your PC search bar).

❓Can the position of my cameras impact their performance?

Ensuring your camera is positioned in the best possible place to capture faces is imperative. Install your camera covering an area where your visitors are most likely to walk past, if they were to enter or try to enter your premise. Some examples of this would be entrances, pathways, doorways, and reception areas.
