Step 1: Check Requirements

In order to run Cammy, the hardware you are using will need to meet a number of requirements.

  • A Windows PC that remains powered on and at the location of your cameras at all

  • A Smartphone (Android or iOS)

  • Compatible ONVIF cameras

  • Stable Internet Connection at premises (Wired connection preferable)

To help check if your Windows 10+ machine is compatible with Cammy, weβ€˜ve built a special compatibility tool into our installer.

Please download the Cammy installer and check the suitability of your computer for use with Cammy.

Step 2: Create an Account

If you have not done so already and providing your set up meets the minimum requirements for Cammy, you can now proceed to create an account with us using the button below.

Step 3: Install Cammy

Upon successfully creating your new Cammy account, you will now be able to install the Cammy software.

  1. Head to the πŸ”— "account" section of the πŸ”— website and log in using the username and password used to create the account.

  2. Once in the account section, head to the πŸ”— "downloads" section on the left-hand side of the screen. Here you will find the download link for the Cammy software.

Step 4: Setting Up Your Windows Desktop App

Once you have installed the Cammy desktop app, the Cammy icon will appear on your desktop. To open the Windows desktop app, click the icon. You will then be asked to sign in to the desktop app. The username and password required here are the ones used to create your account in Step 2.

When you sign into the desktop app for the first time, you will be greeted with our handy onboarding tool. This will walk you through adding a camera to your system, as well as give you a tour of the software.

πŸ”— See our detailed user guide for signing into the desktop app for the first time

Step 5: Downloading the Mobile App

To access your cameras remotely, you will need to download "Cammy Mobile" onto a compatible smart phone. The app can be found on both the app and play store under "Cammy Mobile". Alternatively, you can scan the QR code below with your smart phone camera and it will take you straight to the download.

To sign in to the app, you will need the same sign-in details used to create your account and sign in to the desktop app. Similarly to the desktop app, our handy mobile app onboarding will show you features of the mobile app when you first sign in.
