Why enable 2FA?Two-factor authentication requires a one-time verification code sent to your phone whenever you log in. Even if someone gets hold of your school email, they can't access your CampusKnot account.
Open your Profile menu
Look for your profile avatar or initials in the top-right corner of any CampusKnot page. Click it to open the profile dropdown menu.
Go to Account Settings
In the dropdown, select Account Settings. This takes you to the page where you can modify your settings, including turning on and off the 2FA setting.
Toggle on Two-Factor Authentication
Scroll to the Security section and find the Two-Factor Authentication toggle. Click it to turn 2FA on.
Confirm your phone number
CampusKnot will send a verification code to the phone number on your account. If you haven't added one yet, you'll be prompted to enter it now.
Why do we ask for your phone number during sign-up?
This is exactly the reason! Your phone number is used to send you secure login codes via SMS. We ask for it at account creation so that 2FA is ready to activate whenever you need it no extra setup required.
