πŸ” Transferring Polls from One Course to Another

Want to reuse your polls from a previous course? You can easily transfer polls between semesters in just a few steps.

This saves you time and helps you maintain consistency across terms.

βœ… What Transfers

When you transfer a poll, CampusKnot will copy:

  • Question content (text, images, and answer choices, AI feedback, duration, and points)

  • Poll type (multiple-choice, true/false, open-ended, etc.)

  • Point value and visibility settings

⚠️ Student responses from the original semester do not transfer.

πŸ›  How to Transfer Polls

  1. Navigate to the course where you have all of your polls.

  2. Navigate to the Participation tab.

  3. Click on the Select.

  4. What can you transfer?

    1. You can choose to transfer all of your polls at once, like this πŸ‘‡.

    2. Or copy only specific polls, based on their 'tags'.

Choose the tag option to segment only the polls with that specific 'tag'.

  5. Choose the courses you'd like to copy into the new course.

  6. Click Choose action.

  7. Duplicate.

πŸ’‘ Tips for Using Transferred Polls

  • You can edit any poll after transferring to update deadlines, tweak content, or change settings.

  • If you're publishing multiple transferred polls at once, consider using the Queue to organize and launch them efficiently.

  • Remember to adjust the due dates to match your current semester schedule.

πŸ” Common Questions

  1. Can I import polls from multiple courses?
Yes. Repeat the import steps for each course you'd like to copy from.

  2. Do poll results from the original course carry over?
No. Only the content is transferred, not the responses.

  3. Can I transfer polls before students join the course?
Yes! You can set up and schedule everything ahead of time.
