CampusKnot's LTI 1.3 Integration Guide

Integrating CampusKnot with your Canvas, Blackboard, D2L Brightspace, or Moodle course is a straightforward process. Follow the guide below to seamlessly integrate CampusKnot into your Canvas course and utilize its features.

Prerequisite:

  1. Add CampusKnot to your course adoption materials for the semester.

    • Supported Integrations: We currently support LMS 1.3 integrations with VitalSource and Barnes & Noble partner schools only.

  2. You can add CampusKnot to the course materials addition form inside your LMS or contact your campus bookstore representative. ISBN codes you can use:

    • Barnes & Noble Bookstores ISBN: 8220131031052

    • Follett Bookstores ISBN: 9780131031050

    • SKU: "CAMPUSKNOT4MONTH" or "CAMPUSKNOT4MONTHR120"

Add CampusKnot as a course material inside Canvas LMS faculty dashboard

Steps for Faculty:

  1. Sync your LMS Account (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, or Moodle) on CampusKnot:

    • Provide students a link to their CampusKnot course from within the LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle) through single sign-on (SSO) after adding CampusKnot to your course materials for the semester.

  2. Sync Your Course & Student Roster:

    • Automatically sync your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle) student roster and course to CampusKnot, ensuring that students' information is always up-to-date.

  3. Sync Your Gradebook from CampusKnot to your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle):

    • Easily pass grades from CampusKnot to your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle), streamlining the grading process and ensuring consistency across platforms.

  4. Re-Sync or Update a Course Roster:

    • This functionality allows faculty to add and drop students to a CampusKnot course in seconds. This functionality works best after the add/drop date period.

Steps for Students:

After inviting students, you can check who has synced their LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle) accounts with CampusKnot and who hasn't.

Check Students' Status:

  • If a student does not connect their LMS account to CampusKnot, their pass-back grade will be recorded as '0', as the failed connection will signal to your LMS that the student does not exist on CampusKnot.
