How to use Call Blocking in-app

Manually add in a number to block, block a number from the History screen or the Contact profile, and how to unblock a number.

Manually add a number to block

Step 1 - Tap the 3 lines at the top corner (side menu) of the CaptionCall Mobile app then touch “Blocked Numbers”.

Step 2 – Tap “Add Blocked Number” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3 – Input the phone number you wish to block and tap “Block Number” when finished.


Block a number from the History Tab

Step 1 – Tap “History” at the bottom of the CaptionCall Mobile app. Locate the number or name of what you’d like to Block and tap it once.

Step 2 – Tap the three dots at the top corner, and select “Block (number/name)”.

Step 3 – A popup message will appear. Confirm you want to block it by tapping “Block Contact.”


Block a number from a Contact profile

Step 1 – Tap “Contacts” at the bottom of the CaptionCall Mobile app. Locate the name of the person you’d like to block and tap it once.

Step 2 – Toward the bottom of the Contact's profile, tap “Block Contact.”

Step 3 – A popup message will appear. Confirm you want to block it by tapping “Block Contact.”


How to unblock a number

Step 1 - Tap the three lines (side menu) at the top left corner of the CaptionCall Mobile app and tap “Blocked Numbers.”

Step 2 – Tap “EDIT” up at the top right corner of the mobile app.

Step 3 – Check the name(s) or number(s) you want to unblock or tap “Select All” to check all the numbers. Once selected, tap “Unblock” at the bottom of the screen.
