Why aren't my incoming calls being captioned?
Incoming calls to your usual phone number will not be captioned by default. If you would like the incoming calls to your usual phone number to be captioned, you will need to set up Call Forwarding.
Call Forwarding makes it so the incoming calls to your regular number are captioned by the app. CaptionCall makes setting up call forwarding easy: start by opening the side menu (top left) then tap Call Forwarding:
Tap Enable:
Tap Got it!:
A long code similar to the one below will appear in your regular phone dialer. Call this code to toggle on call forwarding:
That's it! Once the call is complete, all calls to your usual phone number will now be received in your CaptionCall app so they can be captioned.
โ ๏ธ Important Reminder: If you ever decide to uninstall CaptionCall, make sure to disable call forwarding first, so that incoming calls will resume ringing your native mobile dialer!
