How Change Your Email Address In the App

Keep your Carebility account up to date by updating the email associated with your profile.

ℹ️ Note: If you don’t see the option to change your email in Settings, your organization may manage email addresses through an HR system (like Dayforce) or Single Sign-On (SSO). Please contact your administrator for assistance.

Why You Might Change Your Email

You may want to update your email if:

  • You no longer use your current email address

  • Your work email has changed

  • You want to update your login credentials

  • You need a different email for password recovery


How to Change Your Email

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom menu

  2. Select Account & Settings

  3. Tap Change Email

  4. Enter your new email address

  5. Tap Change Email

  6. Wait for the confirmation message


On Android

  1. Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Select Account & Settings

  4. Tap Change Email

  5. Enter your new email address

  6. Tap Change Email

  7. Wait for the confirmation message


What Happens Next

Once your email is successfully updated:

  • You’ll see a confirmation message: “Email updated”

  • Your new email becomes active immediately

  • You’ll use this new email for password recovery

ℹ️ HR System Sync: If your organization uses an HR platform connected to Carebility (such as Dayforce), your email may automatically sync from that system. To permanently update it, you’ll need to change it in your HR platform first. Carebility will then sync the update automatically.


Troubleshooting

Error: Confirmation Message Does Not Appear

If you do not see “Email updated”, try:

  1. Checking your internet connection

  2. Confirming the email is formatted correctly (example: user@company.com)

  3. Waiting a few seconds and trying again

  4. Closing and reopening the app


Error Message About the Email

You may see an error if:

  • The email address is already in use

  • The email format is invalid

  • There is a typo

Double-check spelling and ensure you are using only letters, numbers, and standard symbols (@ . _ -).


📝Important Notes

  • HR-Managed Accounts: If your organization syncs with an HR system, email updates must be made in that system first. Otherwise, the email may revert back during the next sync.

  • Password Recovery: This email is used if you click Forgot Password, so keeping it current is important.

  • Privacy: Your email is used for account access and organizational communication only.
