When dealing with contracts which have multiple validity dates we will have to be a bit more careful as we will need to load the contract one time per each validity.
Currently Cargofive only supports one validity per contract, that means that if we have a contract showing some routes for validity 01/10/2023 to 15/10/2023 and some other for 16/10/2023 to 30/10/2023 only one part of the routes will be charged to the system, the one that matches the validity on the request
So lets say we have a contract showing this:
In order for the route to PHNOM PENH to process, the validity on the request must start on 14/11/2023
In order for the route to PUSAN to process, the validity must start on 16/11/2023.
⚠️Also note, with a validity starting on 16/11/2023 both routes will be processed as on this validity start, the route to PHNOM PENH is still valid
✨If we need both routes processed with its full validity, we will need to load the contract twice, each request with one of the validity dates
This also applies for surcharges, let's say we have this in our contract:
If the validity on the request is 01/11/2023 to 15/11/2023, THC 150usd will be processed, if the validity on the request is 16/11/2023 to 30/11/2023, THC 160usd will.
⚠️If on the contrary the validity on the request is 01/11/2023 to 30/11/2023 we won't be able to load both validities. We will be loading the current, 150eur in this case, and you will have to manually change it on 16/10 to match your contract.
Finally we may be asking, and what if I choose a validity date that does NOT match any of the ones in the contract?
In this case the validity running during the one indicated on the request will be processed:
Lets say we have this contract and our request says 15/11/2023 - 30/11/2023.
The route for PHNOM PEHN will be processed then cause on 15/11/2023 this route is valid but as the validity for PUSAN route does not start since 16/11/2023, the system won't be processing this.
