Casa Loyalty now gives every enrolled shopper a personal QR code they can show at the register. Store staff scan it to pull up the right customer in one motion, instead of searching by name, phone, or email. It closes the gap between your online loyalty program and the in-store checkout experience.
Where the QR code shows up
Once enabled, the customer's QR code is shown across every customer-facing surface:
The storefront widget
The loyalty landing page
The full-page account extension
The admin customer page (for your team's reference)
How staff scan it
At the register, staff use the Casa Loyalty POS UI extension. The cashier opens the scanner from the Casa Loyalty POS tile, points the camera at the customer's code, and the customer is identified instantly — no manual lookup needed.
Turning it on
There's a single merchant toggle that controls the feature everywhere at once:
Go to Settings > Platform.
Enable "Enable POS QR Code."
This is on by default, so most shops will already have it active. Turning it off hides the QR code everywhere and disables scanning at POS.
Security
The feature is secured end to end:
Storefront codes are generated through the signed Shopify app proxy and are scoped to the signed-in shopper — a customer can only ever mint their own code, so there's no way to view or generate another customer's identity code.
The admin image is served behind an HMAC-signed token, keeping it protected even in the admin view.
Localization
The QR title, description, and scanner labels are fully translated across all supported languages — on the widget, the landing page, and the POS and account extensions alike.
Quick recap
Where to find it: Settings > Platform > enable "Enable POS QR Code," then scan from the Casa Loyalty POS tile at the register.
