The Filevine Calendar Sync allows calendar events created in Filevine to automatically appear in Case Status for the associated case. Once synced, events are visible to both firm staff and clients in the Case Status web and mobile applications.
How the Calendar Integration Works
When the integration is enabled for your firm, calendar appointments created in Filevine can sync to Case Status if they meet specific criteria.
Because Filevine does not have a dedicated “event type” field that can be mapped directly, event types are determined using hashtags placed in the appointment title. These hashtags control which appointments sync and how they are categorized.
Supported Hashtags
To sync an appointment from Filevine to Case Status, include one of the following hashtags in the appointment title:
#sync
#meeting
#virtual
#medical
If no supported hashtag is included, the appointment will not sync. This allows firms to control which events are shared with clients.
What Syncs
Calendar events created in Filevine
Events associated with active cases
Upcoming events (within the firm’s configured sync window)
When a case becomes active, any upcoming qualifying events will sync automatically.
How Updates and Deletions Work
If an appointment is modified or deleted in Filevine, the corresponding event in Case Status will update or be removed accordingly.
Changes made directly in Case Status do not sync back to Filevine.
Filevine remains the system of record for calendar appointments.
Important Notes
Only events tied to active cases will sync.
Firms control which events sync by using the required hashtags in the Filevine appointment title.
The sync is one-way (Filevine → Case Status).
