Requesting statements from your client is a fairly simple process. Take a look at the video above to get started or check out the details below.

Sending a Request and Options.

  1. Make sure you are on the statements tab, highlighted in the screenshot below. Then click on the Send a statement request button.

2. This opens the request setup screen where you can include your client contact details, and select the request options you would like.

You can send your request via email and SMS. A preview showing the email or SMS template that will be used can be viewed on the preview tabs highlighted below. Note, all templates are editable.

Add Contact

If you add an additional contact, a separate request will be sent to the other party. Any connected bank accounts will be deduplicated against the other clients' account list automatically, and their living expenses report will merge into a single file (note you can unlink requests later if needed).

Days to sync

184 days is the recommended number of days to retrieve. There are plenty of alternative options though. The maximum timeframe we can retrieve is 365 days.

184 is recommended due to some accounts, normally low volume i.e. savings accounts, will only have official statements generated every 6 months. So creating a request that extends back far enough will help ensure available statements are retrieved. 184 days also takes into account the maximum no. of 31 day months in any rolling 6 month period.

Institutions visible to client.

CashDeck isn't able to retrieve official statements in all cases. For some institutions, we will only be able to retrieve transaction listings as PDF's or raw categorised transactions that are used in the living expenses reports.

Institutions Search

This tab is linked to the Institutions visible to client picklist. If you make a change to the picklist the institutions search will display the relevant institutions.

The tags below each institution show what types of data we are technically able to retrieve from these institutions. Please note, statements may not be available for all accounts in all instances.

Message (optional, included in invitation)

You can type anything you like in the Message box, and it will be included in your invitation, both email and SMS (hence the character limit).

User can restrict accounts shared?

If you turn this option ON, your client will be able to remove any accounts they like from being retrieved. Any accounts set to No will not be downloaded and shared with you.

If you turn this option OFF, the Yes/No toggle buttons are not shown next to each account. Once the request is submitted, data for all available accounts will be retrieved.
