SOP: Creating a One-Time Extra Class Visit Punch Card

Objective:
To allow members to purchase a one-time class visit at their leisure or when their membership limits are maxed out.

Key Steps:

  1. Membership Setup:

    • Go to the membership setup screen.

    • Create a punch card with a name and select the track(s) it will have access to (e.g., WOD track).

    • OPTIONAL: Set an expiration window for the punch card

    • Set the number of punches to one and save the membership template.

  2. Payment Option Setup:

    • Add a payment option for the punch card.

    • Click on the payment plan, give it a name, description, and price.

    • Add applicable taxes and save.

  3. Store Setup:

    • Navigate to the store setup under billing.

    • Click on punch cards and locate the created punch card.

    • Edit the punch card by setting an inventory (large number) and unchecking the option to hide it in the store.

    • Save the changes.

  4. Purchase and Use:

    • When a member's weekly membership limit is maxed out, they can purchase the punch card from the store.

    • After purchase, the member will have an extra punch available for booking a class.

Cautionary Notes:

  • Ensure that the punch card is properly set up in the membership and store settings to avoid any issues with purchasing or usage.

  • Set your punch card to expire after a certain number of days so they can be cleaned up properly

  • Double-check the pricing and taxes added to the payment option to ensure accuracy.

Tips for Efficiency:

  • Regularly check the inventory of punch cards to ensure availability for purchase.

  • Provide clear instructions to members on how to purchase and use the one-time extra class visit punch card to avoid confusion.
