Confluence Integration

This guide explains how to set up and use the Confluence integration with ChatPRD.

Setting Up Confluence Integration

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations in the ChatPRD interface.

  2. In the integrations section, locate the Confluence card.

  3. Click the Connect Confluence button.

  4. You'll be redirected to Atlassian's authorization page. Sign in with your Atlassian account.

  5. Select the Confluence workspace you want to connect and grant ChatPRD the necessary permissions.

  6. After successful authentication, you'll be redirected back to ChatPRD with the integration status showing as "Connected."

Note: Confluence integration is available on Pro and Team plans only.

Configuring Your Confluence Integration

After connecting your Confluence account:

  1. In the Confluence integration card, you'll see a dropdown to select a Default Confluence Space.

  2. Click on the dropdown and select the space where you want ChatPRD to export documents by default.

  3. We recommend creating a dedicated space for ChatPRD exports for better organization.

Using Confluence with ChatPRD

Once connected, you can use Confluence to:

Export Documents to Confluence

  1. While in a chat or document view, click on the Export button.

  2. Select Export to Confluence from the dropdown menu.

  3. If you haven't set a default space or want to export to a different space:

    • A space selector will appear

    • Browse and select the destination space

  4. The document will be exported to Confluence with formatting preserved.

  5. After successful export, you'll see a confirmation message with a link to view the document in Confluence.

Organizing Your Exports

For better organization in Confluence:

  1. Create a dedicated space for ChatPRD exports before connecting.

  2. Use Confluence's page hierarchy to organize your exported documents.

  3. You can create different spaces for different types of documents or projects.

Troubleshooting Confluence Integration

If you encounter issues with the Confluence integration:

  1. Connection Issues:

    • Check that your Atlassian account is properly connected in Settings > Integrations

    • If showing as "Not Connected," try reconnecting your account

    • Ensure you've granted all the required permissions

  2. Export Failures:

    • Verify you have permission to edit the destination space

    • Check your internet connection

    • Try exporting a smaller document first

  3. Permission Errors:

    • You may need to reconnect your Atlassian account to refresh the permissions

    • Click "Disconnect Confluence" and then reconnect

  4. Space Selection Issues:

    • If you can't see your spaces, ensure you have the correct permissions in Confluence

    • Try refreshing the space list by disconnecting and reconnecting
