How Automated Messages are organized

Message templates are under Manage --> Automated Messages

There are 3 types of Message Templates, in the tabs across the top:

  1. Automated Messages - the majority of automated messages are in this category

  2. Custom Templates - message templates you create are kept here

  3. System Templates - messages used by the system are kept here

Automated Messages are message templates that use a trigger and various conditions to cause a message to be sent automatically. You can select and edit a message template from the list, or click New Automated Message or Browse Templates to choose a template based on the trigger.

For example, clicking the New Automated Message button and selecting the Proposals category on the left will show you templates based on the various triggers for Proposals - Proposal Creation Date, Proposal Expiration Date, etc.

You can select the template based on the trigger - Proposal Expiration Date for example, and customize the message.

In the message template, select the packages this message should apply to and the conditions that should trigger the message to be sent.

Messages are organized into categories in the left sidebar:

  • All

  • Booking

  • Proposal

  • Lead

  • Other

How do tags work?

If you have added any tags to your automated message templates, you can organize messages by grouping them by the tag, you can also search for them using the tags. Tags are listed below the categories in the left sidebar. In the example below, we have filtered message templates so that only messages with the Staff tag are shown.

How does the Search work?

Using the search bar in the upper right of your automated messages screen, you can search the title, body and tags of message templates for key words.
