How do I prevent last-minute bookings?

You can prevent last-minute bookings by setting the lead time that you require before taking a booking. You can also determine how far into the future you will accept new bookings.

To set the lead time needed before an event:

Go to Manage --> Business Settings --> Availability

  1. Find the setting: How much lead time do you need before a booking?

    1. Enter the amount of time needed, from 3 hours to 1 month

  2. Click Save

This setting will not allow bookings with an event date that occurs within your lead time setting. For example, if you have the lead time set to 1 week, then customers will be unable to book an event with an event date that is less than 1 week away.

You can also set how far out you will accept new bookings:

The setting just below lead time will determine how far into the future you can accept new bookings - from no limit to 3 years

  1. Find the setting: What is the furthest out you will accept a new booking?

    1. Enter the time limit for how far into the future you will take a new booking

  2. Click Save
