How do I reserve a date for a client who hasn't booked yet?

Proposals are a great way to present an offer to a customer and allow them to see the package, e-sign the contract, and pay the deposit.

Updated this week

To create a new proposal:

  1. Click "Create New" in the top right and choose the "Proposal" option.

At minimum you'll need to choose a package (or select Custom/One-Off), a date and a time for your proposal. Most of the other fields on the proposal builder are optional.

2. To send your proposal to the client, click the Send Email button in the blue box at the top. You will have the opportunity to edit your email before you send it.

Alternatively, you ca use the Quick Send button to send your proposal.

Just click the Quick Send button on the proposal and select 'Send Proposal' from the dropdown list.

Settings

When creating a new proposal, you can select to reserve the date and time even before the booking is confirmed.

Override defaults

When creating a new proposal, you can override several aspects of the booking, including:

  • Event title

  • Proposal expiration date

  • Brand (if you have more than 1 brand)

  • Event total

  • Deposit due

After your proposal is created, you can manage it from Sales --> Proposals

You can also add public (visible to client & on invoice) or private (visible only to staff & admins) notes to a proposal either when you create it or afterwards.
