The builder writes each rule as a readable sentence with editable tokens — the chips you click to change. A rule reads, for example: "When a code is submitted via WhatsApp … then reward ₦100 airtime + 1 raffle entry."
*Each rule is a sentence with editable tokens; Add criteria layers conditions onto it.
ADDING CONDITIONS
Conditions narrow when a reward applies. Click Add criteria to layer them, joining rows with AND or OR:
• Product SKU is one of — restrict to specific products.
• Submissions / user is at least — reward repeat behaviour.
• First submission is — single out new consumers for a welcome bonus.
• State / region, Channel, Network, Time of day, Points balance, Member tier, Survey answer, Days since last scan.
The operators available are: is, is not, is at least, is less than, is one of, is after, and is between.
RULE ORDER MATTERS
Rules evaluate top-down and the first match wins unless stacking is enabled. If a welcome-bonus rule sits below a general reward rule, first-time scanners collect the general reward instead. Put narrow, high-value rules above broad catch-alls, and tick stack rewards on a rule you want to add to whatever else matches rather than replace it.
A rule can also be disabled without being deleted — useful for switching mechanics between phases of a promotion.
THE SAME GRAMMAR TWICE
Audience segments use this identical attribute-and-condition grammar. Anything a rule can check, a segment can filter by — so learning it here pays off in Audiences too.
