When Are Referral Rewards or Aeroplan Bonus Points Applied?

We’re so excited to reward you—whether you’re earning bonus points through our Aeroplan offer or Referral Rewards by inviting others to Chexy!

In both cases, rewards are only applied after a qualifying payment is marked as complete in our system.

What does “complete” mean?

A payment is considered complete once it reaches the final processing status based on the payment method used:

  • e-Transfer → Status must be "Deposited"

  • PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) → Status must be "Withdrawn"

  • Bill Pay → Status must be "Sent"

  • One-Time Payment → Status must be "Sent"

This applies to:

  • Referral Rewards — issued once the referred user’s qualifying payment is complete

  • Aeroplan Milestone Bonuses — awarded after completing specific payment milestones tied to your Aeroplan offer

What if I don’t see my reward yet?

If the payment is still in progress or hasn’t reached one of the statuses above, the reward won’t be applied just yet—hang tight! Rewards are automatically applied within a few business days of the payment being completed.

If it’s been more than 5 business days since the payment was marked complete and you still don’t see your points or reward, feel free to reach out to support and we’ll be happy to help!
