Currently, Chexy's recurring payments are designed to work with fixed amounts and due dates. However, here are a few workarounds that might help:
Option 1: Update the amount before each charge If the payment amount is known beforehand, it can be updated before the card is charged each time.
Option 2: Set a Higher Amount and Request a Refund Set the recurring payment to the highest amount expected, then request a refund from the Chexy dashboard.
Just a heads up—the refund will be minus the Chexy processing fee, since fees are applied to the full amount charged.
Option 3: Use one-time payments If the amount is known before the due date, a one-time payment can be set up each month for this payee with the specific amount expected to be withdrawn.
Our platform isn't fully designed for variable payments at the moment so this may not work perfectly well, but these workarounds may help you manage the situation. That said, we do have this as a feature on our roadmap—though we don't have a timeline just yet.
