Setting up PAD payments in RentCafe

If your property manager uses RentCafe, you’ll set things up in two places:

  1. Chexy, which charges your card and funds your Chexy PAD account, and

  2. Your RentCafe portal, which withdraws the funds from your Chexy account.

➡️ Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Set up your payment in Chexy
Create a monthly payment to Fitzrovia for your total rent amount (including parking, etc.), scheduled for the 1st of each month.

Step 2: Add your Chexy PAD account to RentCafe

  • For this, start by signing in to RentCafe

  • Next, Go to Payment accountsAdd bank account, then enter your Chexy PAD account details.






    Step 3: Verify your account

  • RentCafe will send a verification deposit (a small random amount) to your Chexy PAD account. This usually arrives in 1–3 business days.

  • When it arrives, we'll email you the exact amount. Back in RentCafe, click Verify next to the Chexy bank account and enter that amount.


    Step 4: Set up autopay

  • Finally, go to Auto-pay setup and schedule your rent payments to withdraw from your Chexy PAD account.

  • If you have an overdue amount, click "Pay Now" on your home page and make a one time payment to catch up.
