Municipal taxes can be paid via:
PAD (if the city allows pre-authorized debit changes)
Bill Pay (if listed in your bank’s bill payment directory)
Chexy processes these payments through:
Canada’s bill payment network
Or PAD matching system
Important
If using PAD:
Ensure the city has updated your void cheque to Chexy’s banking details. You can generally find information on this by searching _City_Name_ “municipal taxes PAD”
If using Bill Pay:
Select the correct municipal entity exactly as listed. Make sure you confirm the number with the payee. The digit requirements mentioned on the new payments page are accurate and exceptions can not be made to the length of the code.
Once sent, funds are transmitted like a standard bank bill payment.
