Can one PAD withdrawal be applied across two Chexy subscriptions?

Updated this week

No.

Chexy operates on a 1 withdrawal = 1 subscription = 1 charge structure.

If a payee submits one single PAD withdrawal, it:

  • Must be matched to one Chexy subscription

  • Must be charged once

  • Cannot be automatically split across multiple subscriptions

Why?

PAD matching is automated and tied to:

  • A single subscription record

  • A single authorization

  • A single charge event

Even if you have two active subscriptions for the same payee, the system cannot divide one incoming withdrawal between them.

What Usually Causes This?

This typically happens when:

  • A payee combines two amounts into one lump-sum withdrawal

  • You created two Chexy subscriptions expecting two separate withdrawals

  • The payee changed their billing structure

What Are Your Options?

If this happens, you can:

Option 1:

Request a refund for the unmatched transaction through your account and request a charge for the deficit on the main account.

Option 3:

Let us match the full withdrawal to one subscription and adjust the amount accordingly. To do so please contact us.

Next Steps:

Ask your payee to submit two separate PAD withdrawals moving forward so each one aligns to a separate Chexy subscription or create 1 subscription for the payment amount.
