How will my landlord know that an e-Transfer was sent on my behalf?

When paying with Interac e-Transfer, the deposit link will come directly from Interac (notify@payments.interac.ca).

Inside the payment confirmation email your landlord receives from Interac is a 120-character Custom Memo.

You can use this memo to include relevant information making it clear to your landlord that this payment was made on your behalf.

If you have not selected a Custom Memo a Default Memo in the form of the first 120 characters of your address will be set automatically.
