Getting a message that an employee email already exists?

We'll explain what's happening and your options if trying to add a new employee and you get this message

The Two Reasons You're Getting an Error Message About the Email Address

  1. This person works or worked for another company that uses us, and that email address is tied up with the other company. If so, he/she will need to either use a different email address or have the previous employer terminate them from their Chronotek account. If all else fails, contact us to see if we can help.

  2. This person is an inactive employee in your list. Go to List Maintenance, Employees, and change your view at the top of the screen to "show all." Find the employee in the list and re-activate.

In most cases, it's option 1. 😊
