We encourage you to review your state and federal laws as to when employees need to take breaks. Employees can take breaks while clocked in on the Chronotek app. The duration of the break is deducted from the time card.
How do Breaks work from the app?
Employees initiate their break while they are clocked in. Simply press 'Start Break'.
They will select Meal or Rest Break:
They will need to also 'Stop Break':
How do you know people took a break?
If you go to the Schedules screen you can easily see who is taking their break. The gray pie icon indicates a break was taken on Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday there was no break taken.
If you need to add a break when people forgot, just click open that day. Press Show All to get the Break section.
Edit that section of the time card and the break time will be deducted from the time card duration.
