Eat Your Books is a website which offers a searchable index of many thousands of cookbooks. Unlike ckbk, Eat Your Books, does not include the recipes themselves, but searching Eat Your Books is a great way to find which recipe is in which book.

If you have a large collection of print cookbooks, Eat Your Books is extremely useful, as you can build up your own searchable Eat Your Books bookshelf of the books you own.

ckbk and Eat Your Books recently announced a collaboration, which means that:

  • Eat Your Books's indexing is being extended to cover all 800+ books in ckbk's collection.

  • When you find a recipe on Eat Your Books which is available on ckbk, there is a prominent link that will take you directly to ckbk's online version of the recipe - a handy alternative to digging out the print book, especially if you are away from home.

  • You can easily add ckbk's entire library of cookbooks to your Eat Your Books bookshelf, so that when searching your books, it will include not only your print library, but also the books you have access to via ckbk.

More details of exactly how Eat Your Books integration with ckbk works can be found here.

Eat Your Books and ckbk make a great combination - if you'd like to try out Eat Your Books for yourself, ckbk users can claim an exclusive free month of access. Just click 'I have a voucher' when signing up for Eat Your Books, and enter the code CKBK23.
