A green verification tick next to your name on your ClassCover profile shows schools you are approved to teach and have completed all minimum mandatory training. To obtain this status, you must complete the following training:

Prior to Commencement

The following modules must be completed before you can begin teaching:

  • Child Protection Awareness Training – code: NR28972

  • NEW Code of Ethics and Conduct – code: MT00002

  • NEW Emergency Care – code: MT00009

  • Work Health & Safety induction for employees – code: NR33383

Within a 12-Month Period (To Maintain Green Tick Status)

Once employed, you must also complete the following training within your first 12 months and keep them updated to maintain your eligibility:

  • Cyber Security and Data Breaches - School-based and ESS – code: MT00008

  • Public Interest Disclosure - Serious wrongdoing – code: MT00010

  • Aboriginal Cultural Education – code: AC00560

  • Anti-Racism Policy – code: NR30069

Annual Competency Check (ACC)

After completing all mandatory training modules, you’ll be eligible to complete the Annual Competency Check (ACC) each year.

The ACC is a single, role-specific module designed to take about one hour annually. It replaces multiple refresher modules, reducing your yearly training workload and ensuring your compliance remains simple and straightforward. Completing the ACC on time keeps your green tick active and demonstrates you’re ready to teach.

For details, visit the Annual Competency Check (ACC) page.

Returning From Extended Leave (12+ Months)

If you’ve been on leave for 12 months or longer, you’ll need to:

  • Complete any expired mandatory training modules

  • Refresh your role-specific training

  • Complete the Annual Competency Check (ACC)

How to Find Your Required Training Modules

  1. Log in to MyPL: Access MyPL (staff only) via your browser or the app in the staff portal.
