ClassCover has a direct integration with the NSW Department of Education, displaying a tick on the profile of teachers in that state to signify whether they are verified to teach. This saves time for both teachers and schools, allowing both sides to verify at a glance that a teacher is accredited, approved to teach, and has completed all required training.
If you see a green tick next to your name on your teacher profile, this means you are fully verified to teach in NSW. You have been approved to teach and have completed all your mandatory training.
Are you missing a tick or have an orange tick next to your name? Read what that means here.
How Do You Get a Green Tick?
To continue being booked by schools as a casual relief teacher, it’s important to aim to maintain a green tick status on your profile. To receive the green tick (100% verified status), ensure that:
You are approved to teach in NSW and have completed all mandatory training through MyPL and e-Safety.
Log in to your ClassCover profile and provide the required details, such as your NESA ID and Date of Birth, to send to the NSW Department of Education for verification.
Submit the information to complete the process.
What's Next?
Once you have the green tick, there’s nothing more you need to do – just ensure that you are maintaining your accreditation. Keep your profile up to date and continue meeting the necessary requirements.
