Did You Know?
The Teachers in the Field – Classroom Cover Stream is designed to support relief teaching in regional, rural, and remote NSW public schools. Through this program, teachers are offered temporary full-time positions (up to 3 years) to work within a hub-and-spoke model across a group of schools in a specific geographic area or in a single school with an inbuilt relief model.
In 2022, the program was extended to support over 333 schools across NSW, providing more opportunities for teachers to engage in these vital roles.
What Are the Benefits for Teachers?
Teachers involved in this program may benefit from:
Reduced commuting time for those who previously had to travel longer distances for casual relief work.
Longer engagements for staff who were previously employed on a casual basis.
Appointments that may include additional benefits and incentives.
It Could Be You!
If you're looking for an exciting new challenge and want to make a real difference, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. Working in regional, rural, and remote communities offers a unique chance to have a lasting impact on students’ lives and the local community.
