Use this checklist to set up a new store in the new CleanCloud before you take your first order. Each step links to the page where you do it.

Before you start

Sign in as the main admin. Some settings only show for users with the right permissions. Have your logo, store address, price list and staff list ready.

Note: If you booked an onboarding package, your onboarding specialist will go through most of these steps with you.

Step 1: Add your store details

Go to More > Settings > Store > Store Info. Enter the Company Name, Address, Telephone and Website URL. Upload your Logo and choose a Brand Color. Check that Language, Timezone, Weight Symbol and Distance Measurement are right for your location.

Step 2: Set your tax

Go to More > Settings > Store > Tax and set the tax rate for your store.

Step 3: Set your opening hours

Go to More > Settings > Store > Hours & Shifts and enter your business hours and staff shifts.

Step 4: Add your products and prices

Go to More > Products and add your products, sections and upcharges. If you charge different prices for some customers, create a custom price list at More > Products > Price Lists.

Step 5: Add your team

Go to More > Users, add each staff member and choose their role and permissions. Each person gets their own PIN to unlock the screen.

Step 6: Connect your hardware

Go to More > Hardware and set up your receipt printer. Then add any garment tag printer, label printer, barcode scanner, cash drawer or weight scale you use. To choose what to buy, see How to choose the right hardware for CleanCloud.

Step 7: Set up payments

Go to More > Settings > Payments & Discounts > Payments. Choose your default payment method and turn on the optional payment methods you accept. To take card payments, set up CleanCloud Pay or Clearent, and connect a card terminal.

Step 8: Check your order settings

Go to More > Settings > Workflow > Orders. Set your default and express turnaround times, minimum order amount and default price list. See Order Settings for each option.

Step 9: Choose your customer notifications

Go to More > Settings > Communication > Notifications. Choose which messages customers receive and by which channel. SMS messages use credits.

Step 10: Turn on pickup and delivery (optional)

If you offer pickup and delivery, go to More > Settings > Pickup and Delivery > General and turn it on. Then set up Routes, Pricing & Fees and the Driver App.

Step 11: Create a test order

Create an order for a test customer, take payment and print the receipt and tags. Then mark the order as cleaned and collected. If anything looks wrong, go back to the step that controls it.
