Subscriber referrals

Clubb comes with a built-in referral programme that turns your existing subscribers into a growth channel. Each subscriber gets a unique referral link, and you set the rewards for hitting certain referral milestones.

Setting up referrals

  1. Go to Customers and select Referrals

  2. Create at least one reward tier to activate the programme

Configuring reward tiers

You can set up to three reward tiers. For each tier, you set:

  • The number of referrals needed

  • The number of complimentary months to gift

  • The email body sent when a subscriber hits that tier

Note: Rewards are cumulative. If Tier 1 is for 1 referral and Tier 2 is for 5, a subscriber needs 5 total referrals to reach Tier 2 (not 6).

Recommended reward structure

  • Tier 1: 1 month free for 1 referral

  • Tier 2: 2 months free for 3 referrals

  • Tier 3: 6 months free for 10 referrals

What counts as a referral?

A referral is counted when someone referred by a subscriber becomes a paying subscriber. If you offer a free trial, the referral only counts once the referred person completes the trial and makes their first payment.

How subscribers find their referral link

Once the programme is live, a banner will appear in each subscriber's account showing their unique referral link.

Announcing the programme

If you launch referrals after you have already gone live, send an email to your subscribers to let them know. You can link directly to their account page: yourclubbname.theclubb.co/account.
