A cookbook is a handpicked collection of recipes that you share with your clients. Instead of following a fixed meal plan, clients can browse the collection and choose the recipes that best fit their preferences and goals.
Cookbooks are great for organizing recipes around a theme, such as seasonal favorites, high-protein meals, quick weeknight dinners, or a starter collection for new clients.
Creating a Cookbook
Go to Content → Cookbooks in the sidebar
Click Create Collections
Give it a title and a short description. Both are what the client sees.
Adding Sections and Recipes
Open the cookbook and use the Sections and content panel in the middle.
Click + Add section and name it, for example "Sandwiches" or "Snacks"
Click Library in the top right to open the recipe picker on the left
Search or filter, then add recipes into the section you want. Recipes can be added to a section in bulk rather than one at a time.
A collection holds a maximum of 200 recipes. If you have more than that, split them across several cookbooks.
Drag the handle on any section or recipe to reorder it. Clients see the same order.
Use the trash icon to remove a recipe or a whole section
Each recipe row shows its calorie and protein values so you can check the mix without opening anything.
Cookbook Details
Click Details in the top right, then Edit details to set the cover image, title and description.
This is also where Clients can scale macros sits. With it on, the client can scale a recipe to fit their own targets when they add it to a plan.
Who Can See It
Three options in the Details panel:
Private: coach only. Clients never receive access.
Public: every client can browse it while the cookbook is live.
Segmented: target by tags, gender, or specific clients.
Segmented is the one to use for anything client-specific, for example a vegetarian collection that only your vegetarian clients should see.
Going Live
Click Publish in the top right. The status badge next to the cookbook title switches to Live, and the cookbook appears for whoever the visibility setting includes.
What Your Client Sees
In the app, the client browses the cookbook section by section and can log any recipe straight into their food log or add it to their already existing meal plan.
-->
Recipes in a cookbook are not automatically scaled to the customer. A recipe is only scaled once the customer adds it to their meal plan.
Customers can browse cookbooks and add any recipes they would like to include in their meal plan. Once a recipe has been added to the meal plan, it will be scaled accordingly.
Common question
Can clients build a meal plan with 5 meal types from a cookbook?
Not today. When a client assembles their own plan in the app, they are limited to 4 meal types. If you coach clients who need 5+ meals/day, keep assigning the full plan yourself (coach-side meal plans are not limited the same way), or combine snacks into an existing meal type.
