Connecting Artists and Brand Profiles

How to connect your Artists and track their music

Updated over 10 months ago

The first step in setting up your Catalog is connecting the Artists you work with.

This will not limit the songs or artists you have access to - it will simply make your routine Catalog workflows easier. Your connected Artists will also auto-populate Community and Promotion sections of the platform.

To add an Artist, navigate to the bottom left of the page and click + New Profile. If your artist has a profile on Spotify, you will be able to select them from a list.

If your artist does not have a Spotify profile yet, you can make one. You will need to upload a thumbnail image, and pick a profile display name. The image and display names will be used internally in your Catalog. If you run any Drops or outward-facing initiatives, this thumbnail will also appear there as a default. You can edit these profile details later, and merge with a Spotify profile when it becomes available.

The Brand Profile option will also prompt you to add a thumbnail image and name. This is best used if you plan to run Drops, Social Engagement, and Promotions for festivals, label accounts - basically, anything that isn't artist specific.

To disconnect an artist, use the left panel to open the list. Then hover, and via the 3 dots, click Delete Profile.
