Overview
The Streak widget serves as a helpful tool for tracking the completion of specific tasks on a daily basis and displays overall engagement across a seven-day period. It is particularly useful for apps that aim to motivate users to accomplish daily goals, such as check-in surveys.

Step 1: Add the Streak widget to your Dashboard
1. In Cogniss Creator, navigate to Dashboard in the left sidebar.
2. Click on Add new widget in the top right of the page.
3. In the Dashboard widgets library, search for the Streak widget and click Add. Return to the Dashboard by clicking on the cross in the top right.
4. The Streak widget will now be on your Dashboard and ready for you to configure as needed.
5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Configure the Streak widget
The Streak dashboard widget is made up of three components:
Additional Text - a description or caption that is displayed above the timeline.
Activity Timeline - a seven-day timeline, starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday, with an indicator highlighting the current day. The timeline automatically resets each Sunday. A tick icon is displayed when the activity is completed.
Activity Link Button - enabling this setting allows your users to open the activity directly underneath the timeline display by clicking on a button.
Additional Text
1. You can enable the Additional Text field to display text above the Streak widget. You can use the rich text editor to display a prompt or a call to action to your users to drive engagement with the linked activity. This text is static and will stay the same each time a user lands on your app's home screen or home page.
2. You can choose if you would like the additional text to appear in your mobile app, web app, or both. Simply select the applicable setting(s).
3. Once you have updated the widget, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
4. Open your app to preview the Streak widget and to test that it works as expected.
Streak Launch Activity
1. By default, the activity streak timeline is displayed in your app when the widget is enabled. However, you need to add an activity for the widget to function.
2. In Streak launch activity, click on the dropdown and select the activity that you would like the widget to link to.
3. Once you have updated the widget, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
4. Open your app to preview the Streak widget and to test that it works as expected.
Activity Link Button
1. You can enable the Activity link button to add a button underneath the streak timeline in your app.
2. You can choose if you would like the additional text to appear in your mobile app, web app, or both. Simply select the applicable setting(s).
3. In the Button label field you can add a label to your activity link button. For example, if the activity you're linking to is a daily check-in survey, you can add Check in to the button label.
4. Once you have updated the widget, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
5. Open your app to preview the Streak widget and to test that it works as expected.
FAQs
Can I track the completion of multiple activities?
At present, the Streak widget only supports one activity. It is recommended that you use the Streak widget for an activity that you would like users to complete on a daily basis, such as a check-in survey.
Can I change the time period of the streak timeline?
The Streak timeline can only display a seven-day period starting from Sunday. At present, this cannot be customized.
