Introduction
The voucher feature within Cogniss can be used to encourage your users to perform tasks and incentivize them when they complete such activities. Use vouchers to reward in-app points such as currencies and XP.
Some use case examples of using voucher redeem feature:
To motivate target users to perform multiple tasks or services and gain in-app points as a reward. They can use the accumulated points to spend on a prize.
To encourage your participants to do tests/trials and they can use these points for incentives after the tests.
Providing incentives such as reward points is an effective way to implement behavior change. Starting is often the hardest part when it comes to building a new behavioral routine. Using incentives, even if they are relatively small, can help start a positive behavior that can eventually provide a long-term outcome.
Creating vouchers to reward in-app currency
Step-by-step instructions:
Voucher configuration
To create vouchers, go to the Vouchers tab in Creator then hit "create voucher"
Input voucher name and add a description
(Optional) Enable Custom code name if you wish to customize your code. If left unticked, the system will generate a random code. (Custom code name is unavailable for voucher type: Generator).
Select the type of voucher. Read about the different types on the Vouchers overview page.
Input the number of vouchers you wish to create (set to 0 for unlimited vouchers)
(Optional) Set an expiry date for the voucher
Results
Click Add Result and select Transaction
Select the type of reward you want to give your users.
Add the number of points in the Quantity field that you wish to reward your users.
(Optional) Enable Deduct if you wish to remove points
Click the Save changes button

After you create a voucher, you can preview the voucher page and provide the QR code to your users. You can also track the usage of your voucher here and the users who redeemed them for points.

1. How can I scan the QR codes generated from the voucher system?
For your app users to scan the voucher code, you must set up the QR code scanner. To do this, create a new activity and set the template to 'QR scanner'.
2. Can I reward points to users by only giving the voucher code and not using the QR code?
If you would like to reward points (eg. currency and xp) by completing activities in your app, please refer to the page on the Behaviors feature.
3. Can I add more quantity to an existing voucher?
Yes! You can configure the quantity by going to the specific voucher page under Settings.
