Introduction

You can use the Voucher feature to make your app more dynamic and to create a unique user experience. Here are some of the ways Vouchers can be used:

Vouchers Overview

The above is a Voucher page in Cogniss Creator. From here, you can see existing Vouchers, or create a new Voucher.

This page also shows you information regarding Voucher usage β€” the number of Vouchers currently available and already redeemed, in the form of a bar chart.

Creating Vouchers

To create Vouchers, open the Vouchers side tab and click Create voucher on the top right-hand corner of Creator.

Voucher types

There are different types of Vouchers you can create:

  1. Unique - Creates a single Voucher that can only be used once. After a single use, the code becomes invalid.

  2. Generator - Creates a fixed number of Vouchers, each with a unique code.

  3. Cloneable - Creates a Voucher with a single code that can be used multiple times. This means the same code can be used by multiple users.

Within each Voucher, you can define the following:

  1. Quantity - The number of Voucher codes you need. Set to 0 for unlimited codes.

  2. Expiry date - The date that the Voucher will expire. From that date onwards, the Voucher cannot be used.

  3. Duration - How long (in days) a Voucher is valid for. The max duration you can set is 1000 days.

  4. Result - The outcome of using a Voucher. This can be used to reward/deduct currency points or to allocate users into teams.

Tip: Enable a Custom code name if you wish to define a custom Voucher code for users to remember the code easily and enter it for redemption. (For example ACCESS1 )

Modifying Vouchers

After you have created a Voucher, you can change various settings according to your needs. For example, you may wish to extend the duration (eg. to extend app access for users) or quantity (to allow more users to access the app).

To do edit a Voucher, select it from the list and it will take you to that specific Voucher's page. Click on Settings on the top-right hand corner of Creator.

When editing the settings of the Voucher, please note the following:

What you can edit:

  • Quantity of vouchers

  • Expiry date

  • Duration of access

  • Results

What you cannot edit:

  • Voucher type

  • Custom code name

Voucher summary page

Also within the Voucher page, you can view the summary of how many Vouchers have been redeemed. As you can see below, the graph shows the pattern of redemption across time, and below that is a list of all the users who have used the Voucher code.
