Suppose your school uses an LMS that doesn’t directly integrate with CoGrader, such as Moodle, ANGEL, Microsoft Teams, or Formative. In that case, you can still use CoGrader to grade and provide personalized feedback to your students.
This article walks you through how to move submissions between your LMS and CoGrader, grade them, and return feedback to students.
Step 1: Export Student Submissions from Your LMS
ANGEL
Open your course and navigate to the Dropbox tool.
Select the correct Dropbox folder.
Choose Download All to export all student submissions.
Extract the ZIP file.
Formative
Open the assignment in Formative.
Click View Responses.
Use the Export to PDF or Export to CSV option.
If you export as CSV, CoGrader can process it directly.
Step 2: Upload Submissions to CoGrader
Log in to your CoGrader account.
Create a new class or select an existing one.
Upload Submissions and add your exported files (PDF, DOCX, or CSV).
Step 3: Grade and Review in CoGrader
Once your files are uploaded:
CoGrader automatically analyzes the submissions using your selected rubric.
Review each student’s feedback and score.
Adjust feedback if needed:
When finished, export the results to share back through your LMS.
Step 4: Return Feedback to Your LMS
ANGEL
Export feedback from CoGrader as PDFs.
Attach each student’s PDF to their dropbox folder as a feedback file.
Enter grades directly in ANGEL’s gradebook if desired.
Formative
Export feedback from CoGrader as a PDF or CSV.
In Formative, open each student’s response and attach the feedback PDF using the Upload File button.
Alternatively, copy and paste the written feedback into Formative’s feedback comment box.
