Why Export as a PDF?

CoGrader does not currently support grading PowerPoint or Google Slides files directly. PDFs are fully supported and allow CoGrader’s AI to read and evaluate the written content on each slide accurately.

Once converted, the Slides work like any other document in CoGrader.

How to Export Google Slides as a PDF

Follow these steps to convert a Google Slides presentation into a PDF:

  1. Open the Google Slides presentation.

  2. Click File in the top-left corner.

  3. Select Download.

  4. Click PDF Document (.pdf).

  5. The file will download to your computer.

You can then upload the PDF directly into CoGrader for grading.

What CoGrader Grades from Slides

After upload, CoGrader:

  • Reads the written text on each slide

  • Grade the work using your selected rubric

  • Generates individualized feedback for each student

  • Allows you to edit scores and comments before sharing

This works especially well for presentations focused on explanations, reflections, or written analysis rather than visual design alone.

If Slides are part of your regular instruction, this workflow keeps grading efficient while still giving students clear, actionable feedback aligned to your expectations.
