How Autopay works
When Autopay is enabled:
Collect sends a payment authority request to your customer.
Your customer completes the payment authority form and provides their payment details.
Autopay is enabled automatically, and the account is assigned to the Autopay workflow.
On the invoice due date, your customer receives a pre-debit notice.
The payment is processed the following day for all overdue invoices, excluding muted or disputed invoices.
If a payment fails:
Collect automatically retries the payment after 3 days.
If the second attempt fails, Collect retries again after 6 days.
After both retries fail, you can move the account to a different workflow using the Move to workflow option.
You can edit both the workflow timing and email content from the Workflows page.
