Summary
In ConCntric, permissions define the products each role gets access to. Your account has three roles by default, Admin, Designer, and Owner. The permissions in these roles cannot be modified, but you can add or remove members based on your needs, and create all-new roles.
To create a new role, click the gear icon in the top right of the ConCntric platform, and click Account Administration.
Navigate to Roles. Click on the three dots next to one of the existing roles, and click Clone. The cloned role will have all the same permissions but none of the users.
To adjust permissions for a role, click on the creator icon.
In the flyout menu, you can specify the permissions of the role. Once you make the changes, click the Save button. Note that some permissions can only be applied to internal members.
To add or remove members from a certain role, click the Members tab, and then click Manage Members. Note that the same member cannot have more than one role. Assigning a member to one role will automatically pull them from the other role they are assigned to.
On this page, you can specify which page each role will land on upon opening their account. The available pages in each list depends on the permissions of the role.
To assign members and roles on a project level, open the project. Click on Manage Members. You can invite members from this window, and automatically assign their respective roles and business units, without going to account administration.
You can also invite members from the Users tab, under Account Administration. Click Invite user.
Enter their email, specify roles, and business units, and assign them to projects.
Note that business units apply only to internal members, those with email domains specified in the company settings.
Role Impersonation
You can preview how the interface appears for different roles using the Role Impersonation feature.
