Markup templates help you easily apply markups to estimate uploads and ForeSite items. To create a new template; navigate to the Settings menu, click on Markup Templates.

Add New Markup Template.

Start by giving the template a name and a description. Decide whether you want to allow this template to be used on all projects or a specific project.

Then start by adding markups items by specifying their code, a description, and their percentage value to be applied to direct cost or total costs. You can add more here following the same process. Once done building your markup template, click Save.

Markup templates can be implemented after you upload an estimate to apply the markup percentage you created in the template. From this window, you can add more markups, or even create markup templates to be used on other projects.

In the ForeSite solution, when creating a new item, you can use the markup templates to add markups to the scope of work. You can also create markup templates from this window.

You can also go in to your project settings, from the markup tabs, and assign a default markup template to all new Value Optioneering items.
