Destini Export Steps
1. Open project estimate in Destini.
Tip: Take note of the Work Breakdown Structures and System identifiers used in Estimate.
For example, Masterformat is one of the Work Breakdown Structures built into the estimate above. Additionally, one of the Systems has been identified as 01-General Requirements.
2. From the Home tab, click Export and select Spreadsheet. Navigate your file directory and choose Save as Type: Microsoft Excel Worksheet .xlsx.
3. It is recommended to open the file in Excel and do a final quality check of the data to ensure the minimum following items are present within the Line Items tab:
a. WBS Codes (MasterFormat, UniFormat, Bid Packages, etc.)
b. Cost
c. System / Component Identification
Upload Estimate to a New Project in ConCntric
Use this process to Create a New Project, the wizard will read the Estimate File and identify Components and Cost data. You will need to Classify the Overall Project and the Components, and complete Program info such as Area and Key Units, ie, Parking Spaces, Room Count, etc.
1. Select the Create Project wizard along the top Portfolio Tools ribbon. Enter project information and navigate through the setup to the Estimate step and select Upload Estimate.
2. From the Upload Estimate screen, select or create new Milestones, then add the estimate file. When finished, click Publish to finalize the setup.
Note: The blue Publish button will be disabled until formatting has been corrected.
Update an Existing Project in ConCntric
Use this process to Update a Project, the wizard will identify Existing and New Components, Estimate Cost data, and review/edit Program data; you may also map to additional WBS.
1. From the Project Overview screen select Import Estimate or navigate to the Estimate area and select Upload Estimate.
2. From inside the Upload Estimate screen, select or create new Milestones, then add the estimate file. When finished, click Publish to finalize the setup.
Additional Import Tools
When importing an estimate the wizard will perform a QA check to ensure data aligns with company standardized codes and descriptions, and search for New Components. In the example below, the Estimate has a non-conforming Cost Code, a misspelled Component along with a New Component. Users can double-click the cells to make edits. When importing a custom or non-standard estimate file, users can use the dropdown menu on the left to select a specific worksheet tab, and then map all necessary columns. If a unique WBS is needed, users can search the Formats dropdown, or contact the Admin to have a new WBS added to the Account Formats Library.
Notes
To confirm the work breakdown structures and organization specific line item code libraries on record, there are three options:
Review WBS Formats in Format Settings in the ConCntric Platform (Access Required by Admin)
Reach out to internal Account Administrator.
Component / Area names can be re-assigned during upload from within the ConCntric platform similar to the Find & Replace function in Excel.
Estimates are not a requirement to set up projects in the ConCntric platform.
Multiple estimates can be uploaded to one project inside ConCntric.
Select Get Template at upload screen to download the ConCntric template with Components pre-filled into upload form.
Direct costs are pulled from the Line Items tab within Beck Destini exports.
