How to import estimates from Sage

Refer to this document to consistently export estimates from Sage for import to ConCntric projects.

Sage Export Steps

1. Open the project estimate in Sage, navigate to Reports tab and select Spreadsheet.

2. On the Spreadsheet Report pop-up select Report Layout then select the corresponding formatted report. In this case it is called Shared/ConCntric Export – Components.

3. Select Export and chose Save as type: Microsoft Excel Worksheet .xlsx.

4. It is recommended to open the file in Excel and do a final quality check of the data to ensure the

minimum items are present in each line item:

a. WBS Codes (MasterFormat, UniFormat, etc.)

b. Cost ($)

c. Component (Building, Site, Hospital)

5. Create projects in ConCntric or update existing to capture new costs in Estimate module.

Notes

  • Location identifier in Sage corresponds to Components in ConCntric in most cases and is a required field on every line item.

  • Import tools are focused on enforcing format/WBS standards for direct costs.

  • Indirect costs require a separate setup and it is recommended to use the markup and indirect fee.

  • tools in ConCntric to build up your total contract cost.

  • To confirm the Formats/work breakdown structures on file there are a few options:

    • Review WBS Formats in Format Settings in ConCntric (access required)

    • Reach out to internal Administrator(s)

    • Request record of WBS from Customer Success Manager
