Types of accounts

Learn about account types such as user, administrator, system administrator and viewer.

When an account is created for a person in Conover Online, they are typically assigned one of the following three account types: user, administrator or system administrator. There is also a "viewer" type of account as well.

User

  • Who is a user? A person who takes the actual assessment and/or skill building units in Conover Online.

  • Common examples of a user: Student, client, participant, etc.

  • What can a user do? Take assessment and skill building units that have been assigned to them by an administrator or system administrator.


Administrator

  • Who is an administrator? A person who monitors or manages users.

  • Common examples of an administrator: Teacher/instructor, coach, supervisor, etc.

  • What can an administrator do? Add, remove and modify users, make and modify user assignments and monitor user progress and results.


System Administrator

  • Who is a system administrator? A person who manages the organization's overall Conover Online account.

  • Common examples of a system administrator: Director, manager, lead teacher, team lead, coordinator, etc.

  • What can a system administrator do? Everything an administrator account can do PLUS add, remove and modify administrators and manage organizational settings (see list below for examples) for Conover Online.

Note: An organization can have more than one system administrator. Please contact the Conover Support team for assistance adding additional system administrators.

Organizational settings that a system administrator can manage include:

  • Change account type for an individual

  • General organization settings

  • Email settings

  • Program-specific settings (ex. changing the passing score for a program like Workplace Readiness from 70% to 80%)

  • And more!


Viewer

  • Who is a viewer? A person who can view the progress and reports of a specific user.

  • Common examples of a viewer: Parents

  • What can a viewer do? View a user's progress and reports for that user's Conover Online assignments.
