๐๏ธ Projects
Overview
A Project is where you organize sermon content and create materials for a specific message. Projects serve as the central hub for your sermon โ housing your files, details, and any content you generate from them.
โ
When you open Content Studio, youโll land on the Projects screen. From here, you can view all your existing Projects, create new ones, or open a Project to continue working on it.
Why Use Projects
Projects help keep your work organized week after week. By creating a new Project for each sermon, you can:
Keep sermon files, notes, and generated content together in one place
Easily group and filter your work by Sermon Series, Preaching Date, or Speaker
Collaborate with your team inside Content Studio
This makes it simple to find what you need later โ whether youโre preparing a follow-up message, repurposing a past sermon, or building content for a new platform.
Project Details Explained
Each Project contains a few key details that help you stay organized:
Sermon Series โ A tag that lets you group Projects belonging to the same series. You can also filter by Series when browsing the Projects screen or Content Library.
Preaching Date โ The date the sermon was (or will be) delivered.
Speaker โ The pastor or person who gave (or will give) the message.
These fields not only help with organization, but also allow Content Studio to tailor the content it generates to your context.
Creating a Project
To create a new Project:
From the Projects screen, click New Project.
Upload your sermon files (audio, video, transcripts, or notes).
Tell us what type of file youโre uploading (Sermon Outline, Draft, or Recording)
Enter your Sermon Title, and (optionally) select a Sermon Series, Preaching Date, and Speaker.
Click Create Project.
Once created, youโll be taken into the Project Workspace โ the place where you can edit details, upload additional files, and start generating content.
๐ก Tip: You can upload files in various formats such as MP4, MP3, WAV, MOV, OGG, WEBM and M4A. You can also paste text directly if your sermon content isnโt in a file format. For added convenience, you may upload using a link from YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
Editing a Projectโs Details
Within the Project Workspace, you can update your Project at any time.
Click on the Project Details bar at the top of the screen to edit the Series, Preaching Date, or Speaker
โAdd or remove files as needed โ as you add new files, Content Studio will automatically update its understanding of your sermon to use as context when creating materials.
Uploading Files
Projects support several types of sermon files:
Audio or Video recordings
Transcripts or Text files
Copied and pasted text
Adding multiple file types helps Content Studio better understand your message and create richer, more relevant content.
โ
โ๏ธ Note: Supported file formats are MP4, MP3, WAV, MOV, M4A, OGG, WEBM.
Sharing a Project
You can share Projects with other members of your team inside Content Studio. This lets everyone collaborate on the same sermon content, upload files, or generate new materials together.
โ
๐ Projects are shared only within Content Studio. If you want to publish or share finished materials outside the platform, youโll do that from your generated content (see Publishing Your Content with Pages).
Creating Content
Once your Project is set up, you can begin creating content from your sermon files. There are two main ways to do this:
Actions โ Pre-built tools for quickly generating items like social clips, devotionals, and guides.
Chat โ A conversational AI experience that lets you ask for custom content or ideas.
Weโll cover both in more detail in our Creating Content article.
Your Generated Content
All of the content you create from your sermon files will appear in the Generated Content panel on the right side of your Project Workspace. From here, you can review, edit, or publish your materials.
In Summary
Projects are the foundation of Content Studio โ your all-in-one workspace for sermon content. They keep your materials organized, your team connected, and your message ready to reach more people.
