πŸ“ Page Editor

Overview

The Page Editor is where you can refine, edit, and polish the written content you generate inside Content Studio. Pages can be created in two ways:

  • By using Actions (such as Page Templates)

  • By using Chat, then clicking Create Page under an AI response

Once a Page exists, you can open it from either your Project Workspace (in the Generated Content panel). Simply click the Page card to open it. The Page Editor will open in the same tab.

🧭 How It Fits In

Content Studio includes several spaces where you work with your content:

  • Projects β€” where Pages are created

  • Content Library β€” where Pages are organized (coming soon)

  • Page Editor β€” where Pages are edited and polished

The Page Editor is your dedicated workspace for writing, formatting, and enhancing the documents you’ve created.

πŸ–₯️ The Page Editor Layout

When you open a Page, you’ll see a clean and familiar editing environment similar to Google Docs or Microsoft Word. It’s built for rich text editing, collaboration, and flexibility.

The Page Editor includes:

  1. Top Bar

  2. Toolbar Tabs

  3. Formatting Toolbar

  4. Document Canvas

  5. AI Chat Panel (optional)

Below is a breakdown of each area.

πŸ” Top Bar

At the very top of the Page Editor, you'll find:

  • A Back button that takes you back to where you came from (either your Project Workspace or the Content Library)

  • The Page title, which you can click to rename

  • A Save status indicator that updates as you edit (Saved β†’ Saving β†’ Saved)

Changes are saved automatically as you make them. Content Studio does not keep a version history β€” it always reflects the current saved state.

🧰 Toolbar Tabs

Directly beneath the Top Bar is a row of dropdown tabs. These provide access to the main tools available in the Page Editor:

  • File β€” Make copies, share, download, print, or view analytics

  • Edit β€” Undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, and other editing tools

  • Insert β€” Add media, tables, emojis, dividers, links, or structured elements

  • Format β€” Apply text formatting, paragraph styles, lists, alignment, or remove formatting

  • Table β€” Insert tables and adjust layout (rows, columns, delete options)

  • AI Tools β€” Improve writing, fix grammar, or summarize selected text using AI

Each dropdown contains the tools you'd expect from a modern document editor, allowing you to structure and refine your Page however you like.

✏️ Formatting Toolbar

Below the Tabs is the main Formatting Toolbar. These controls are always visible, though some may be enabled or disabled depending on what you have selected.

Available tools include:

  • Undo / Redo

  • Text style (Paragraph, Heading levels)

  • Typeface & font size

  • Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough

  • Code block

  • Text color & highlight

  • Text alignment

  • Line height

  • Checklist, Bullet list, Numbered list

  • Add a comment

These tools allow you to format your content with precision and create structured, easy-to-read documents.

πŸ“„ Document Canvas

The center of the screen contains your Page β€” a clean, scrolling document canvas where you can click into any section and begin typing, editing, or formatting your text.

The Page has an infinite vertical layout, allowing your content to grow as long as you need.

Team members with edit access can work in the document at the same time, and anyone with view or edit permission can add comments.

πŸ€– AI Chat Panel

In the bottom-right corner of the Page Editor, you’ll see the AI Chat icon. Clicking it opens the AI Chat panel β€” the same experience you’ll find in the Project Workspace.

You can use Chat to:

  • Summarize parts of your Page

  • Improve sections of writing

  • Generate additional content

  • Ask questions about your document

🚫 Creating New Pages

In the Page Editor, Chat behaves slightly differently than in Projects:

  • You cannot create a new Page from the Chat panel while editing

  • Instead, each AI response includes an Insert Text button

  • When clicked, the response is inserted directly into your document at your cursor’s location

The Chat panel is optional and does not interfere with editing unless you choose to use it.

πŸ’‘ In Summary

The Page Editor gives you everything you need to refine your written content and prepare it for publishing or sharing:

  • A familiar editing environment

  • Rich text formatting tools

  • AI-powered enhancements

  • Built-in collaboration and commenting

  • Seamless integration with Projects and the Content Library

With the Page Editor, you can turn your AI-generated drafts into polished, shareable documents that serve your team and congregation well.
